The Daikoku Legends JDM Travel Itinerary

Sun, Week 2, Day 12 | Tokyo: Sunday Morning Daikoku PA, Umihotaru PA, Top Secret

One Sunday mornings, I would always try to go to Daikoku PA, for the different vibe that they have.  The key is not to get there too late, or some of the very classic JDM would have left.  I got there at around 9:30AM, and there were plenty of classics in sight!​

For Sunday morning visits, I usually stick around for at least 2 hours, closer to 3 hours to be able to appreciated all that I can see.  And new cars would keep rolling in, so don't plan on leaving after an hour.

I then went on to drive to Umihotaru PA (for the first time), which is an expressway that crosses the Tokyo bay, with a parking rest stop right in the middle of the bay!  From Kawasaki heading towards the Chiba direction, the first half of the drive was all inside a tunnel, spanning approximately 9km.  I had a quick lunch at the Umihotaru PA, and then continued on to Chiba on the remaining of the expressway on a bridge.

It was about an hour of a drive to Top Secret in Chiba, which was my last stop  for the day.  I could have gone to RE Amemiya also which was not too far from Top Secret, but I thought I should leave some sites for my next trip:)
