Can you visit Daikoku PA without a car?
Not on foot. Daikoku PA is a parking area on the Shuto Expressway, so the only way in is by car: drive yourself, take a licensed taxi with the return trip booked, or join a reputable tour.
When is the best time to see JDM cars at Daikoku PA?
Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest, but they are also the most likely to be closed early by police. Sunday mornings are calmer. There is no official schedule.
Where are the real Initial D roads?
Mount Haruna in Gunma Prefecture is the real-life Mt. Akina from Initial D. The Gunma page covers the touge roads and D'z Racing Cafe Garage.
Where else can you see JDM cars in Tokyo?
Akihabara UDX on Saturday nights, Super Autobacs Tokyo Bay (A-PIT Shinonome), Umihotaru PA when Daikoku closes, and shops like Spoon Type One and Nismo Omori Factory.
When is Tokyo Auto Salon?
Every January at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Tokyo Auto Salon 2027 runs January 15 to 17, 2027.
How long do you need to see the spots on the map?
Most of the map can be covered in about two weeks across Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. My two-week itinerary shows how I did it day by day.
