Honda Civic Type R FD2
The newest member of the Daikoku Legends garage: a Honda Civic Type R FD2, the four-door Type R built for the Japanese market. I'm driving it for the first time on my October 2026 trip, from Tokyo down to the Osaka region.

Spec & Modifications
The FD2 is the sedan Civic Type R Honda built for Japan. Under the hood is the K20A 2.0L i-VTEC, rated at 225 PS at 8,000 rpm, paired with a close-ratio 6-speed manual and a helical limited-slip differential, with Brembo front calipers and Recaro bucket seats.
This one already wears a few well-chosen upgrades: HKS Hipermax IV GT coilovers, a Momo steering wheel, Spoon blue lens side mirrors and a Mugen front spoiler. The full list is below, mods first, then the factory spec. Got suggestions for what an FD2 needs next? Drop me a note in the comments below. Cheers!
