Nismo Omori Factory
While its name retains the original "Omori" moniker, the modern NISMO Omori Factory is located in Tsurumi, Yokohama—right near Nissan’s historic birthplace. It is not just a showroom or a parts counter; it is the absolute global epicenter for Nissan motorsport heritage and Skyline GT-R mastery.
The Showroom: Automotive Royalty
Walking through the doors feels like stepping into a living museum of Japanese motorsport. You are immediately greeted by actual, battle-scarred race cars—like the iconic R390 GT1 that raced at Le Mans—rather than just empty shells or replicas. The display floor constantly rotates through Nissan's greatest hits, from meticulously restored Z-Tune R34s to legendary Super GT chassis.
The space itself is heavily stylized in NISMO's signature red, black, and silver, with subtle architectural nods to the brand's racing pedigree (keep an eye out for door handles shaped like camshafts).
The Factory Floor: The Benchmark for Restomodding
The true magic of the Omori Factory happens behind the glass of their state-of-the-art workshop. This is where the world-renowned Clubman Race Spec (CRS) builds are born.
If you are currently deep into a Skyline restomod, overhauling an RB26, or dialing in high-end suspension and brake setups, watching the Omori technicians work is invaluable. You can observe master mechanics performing full R32 GT-R chassis refreshments and precision engine tuning. They set the global standard for what an OEM+ restoration should look like, proving exactly how a 90s hero car can be modernized without losing its original soul.
Sourcing the Ultimate Parts
Beyond the displays and the workshop, the facility houses a comprehensive NISMO retail space. This is the place to source rare catalog parts, dry carbon fiber aero components, titanium exhausts, and exclusive Omori Factory merchandise that you simply cannot buy anywhere else.
One note though. I did try to walk in to buy parts that I see from their website from the Nismo heritage program, but was told that those parts are not available for sale directly in the shop. Yes, I should've known, that there's no way to store all those big parts there. But nonetheless, there are still ample amount of engine bay internal parts that you can buy directly from the shop, on the spot!
