The Daikoku Legends JDM Travel Itinerary
Sun, Week 1, Day 5 | Osaka: Mr. Hiro Car Studio, Carmeet Phoenix, Five Mart, Global Auto
Latest start time: 10:00-10:30AM
We stayed right in the busiest area of Osaka, just down the street from America-mura. Today is a solo travel day driving around to various car enthusiast spots in Osaka region, starting with Mr. Hiro Car Studio. The drive itself from the hotel was about 20 minutes.
With all the amazing cars to check out, along with shopping and admiring the second floor race simulators, plan about 1.5 hours at Mr. Hiro Car Studio. If you are filming contents in more details than I was, you may even need 2.5 hours to capture all the details!
One note regarding looking for lunch in the area; there weren't many options, so I just went to a restaurant across the street before continuing to my next stop.
For the Sunday that I visited, there was a car meet/autocross event called Carmeet Phoenix at the Izumiotsu Phoenix Multipurpose Field. This might not be the case for when you're travelling there, you may want to check out the Kansai Maiko website for details to plan ahead. I did have a lot of fun watching others autocrossing with their purpose-built race cars! I stayed about 2 hours, and then told about 40 min. to drive to Five Mart, which as unfortunately closed for the day.
Pivoting to my last stop, I drove to Global Auto which was 10-15 min away, and I was in for a treat! I have NEVER seen this many GTRs all in one spot ever (Daikoku PA aside)!! They were very nice and let me walk around the lot unsupervised to check out each and every car. Be polite and respectful, and others would be the same.
I ended the day at Super Autobacs Fuse Takaida, but it was a much smaller scale autobacs than others that I've been to, so I didn't stay long and ended the day here at around 5PM.
