This is the Honda Integra Type R DC5 heading down the Hakone Turnpike, filmed entirely hands-free on Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses for a true eye-level touge POV.
The Run
Pulling out of the Anest Iwata Sky Lounge
The downhill Hakone Turnpike touge
A second downhill stretch
A scenic approach to the Odawara toll gate
Why Smart Glasses?
Filming at eye level gives you exactly what the driver sees. And with the K20A VTEC crossover echoing off the mountain, the sound is pure JDM ASMR.
Final Thoughts
It was a fun experiment, and the eye-level view feels surprisingly natural.
Would you trust smart glasses to film your next touge run, or stick with traditional cameras? Let me know in the comments!
