Japan Driving Experience

For the second leg of the JDM tour through Japan, I headed south to Osaka to put the Integra Type R DC2 to the ultimate test. There is no better place to experience the raw, high-revving energy of a B18C than the legendary Kanjo Loop and the Hanshin Expressway at night.

There is no sound in the automotive world quite like a B18C engine hitting the crossover point. For this drive, I wanted to move beyond the static shots and really document what it's like to pilot this legend through the heart of Japan’s urban landscape.

One of the most essential stops for any enthusiast in Tokyo is Super Autobacs. It’s more than just a parts store; it’s a hub where the culture literally rolls through the parking lot. I started my evening doing some "eye shopping" and by 8:00 PM, the lot began to transform.
